Prompt assessment

Blood in the urine

Often harmless, but it can be an early sign of bladder or kidney cancer, so even a single episode should be checked. A structured clinic with urine tests, scans and a camera check of the bladder.

Cancer

Bladder cancer

Usually first noticed as painless blood in the urine. Diagnosed with a camera check, then removed and staged with a day-case procedure (TURBT).

Benign

Enlarged prostate (BPH)

Weak flow, getting up at night, or feeling you haven't emptied. The full range of treatments, including Rezum, Aquablation, GreenLight, HoLEP and TURP, matched to your prostate and priorities.

Benign

Urinary symptoms and incontinence

Urgency, frequency, night-time trips or leakage, in men and women. Proper assessment, including bladder function tests where needed, and treatments that work. There's no need to just cope.

Benign

Recurrent urine infections

Two or more infections in six months, or three in a year, deserve a look for an underlying cause, with a plan to reduce repeat courses of antibiotics.

Reconstruction

Kidney blockage and ureteric narrowing

A blockage where the kidney drains (PUJ obstruction) or a narrowing of the ureter can cause pain, infection and kidney damage. Repaired robotically, with excellent long-term results.

Day case

Vasectomy

Permanent male contraception as a short day-case procedure, under local or general anaesthetic, after a thorough discussion beforehand.
