A practice built on precision and recovery

Every procedure Mr Sri performs is selected and executed with two goals in mind: the best oncological or functional outcome for the condition being treated, and the fastest, least disruptive recovery for the patient.

Mr Sri is among a small group of UK and European surgeons with the volume and subspecialty experience to offer complex procedures — including retroperitoneal robotic partial nephrectomy for the most challenging kidney tumours — as routine practice, not exception.

48%
of kidney tumours operated on are RENAL score >10 — the highest complexity category
<1%
Positive surgical margin rate in robotic partial nephrectomy — among the lowest in UK series
>90%

Robotic urological surgery

Da Vinci system · All procedures minimally invasive
Kidney cancer
Robotic Radical Nephrectomy
Robotic1–2 nights
Minimally invasive removal of the whole kidney where partial nephrectomy is not oncologically feasible. Retroperitoneal and transperitoneal approaches used according to anatomy. Lymph node dissection performed where indicated by EAU guidelines.
Upper tract cancer (UTUC)
Robotic Nephroureterectomy
Robotic1–2 nights
Removal of the kidney, ureter, and bladder cuff for upper tract urothelial carcinoma — the standard surgical treatment for UTUC. Lymph node dissection performed per EAU guidelines. All patients require subsequent surveillance cystoscopy.
Reconstruction · PUJ obstruction
Robotic Pyeloplasty
Robotic1–2 nights
Gold-standard reconstruction of the pelvi-ureteric junction for PUJ obstruction. Anderson-Hynes dismembered technique performed robotically. Over 90% long-term success in restoring drainage. Stent removed by outpatient cystoscopy at 4–6 weeks.
Reconstruction · Ureteric stricture
Robotic Ureteric Reimplantation
Robotic1–2 nights
Definitive repair for lower ureteric stricture. Psoas hitch and Boari flap techniques used where additional length is required. Stent in situ for 4–6 weeks, removed by outpatient cystoscopy.
Adrenal gland
Robotic Adrenalectomy
Robotic1–2 nights
Minimally invasive removal of adrenal tumours — phaeochromocytoma, Conn's adenoma, adrenocortical carcinoma, and incidental masses. Retroperitoneal approach provides direct access with minimal disruption to surrounding structures.
Functional reconstruction
Robotic Ureterolysis, Ureteroplasty & Renal Cyst Deroofing
Robotic
Specialist robotic procedures for complex upper tract pathology — ureterolysis for retroperitoneal fibrosis, buccal mucosal graft ureteroplasty for complex strictures, and deroofing of symptomatic renal cysts. All performed with the precision advantages of robotic technique.

Why robotic surgery makes a difference

Precision where it matters most
Wristed instruments, 10× magnification, and three-dimensional vision allow dissection and suturing in confined spaces inaccessible by open or conventional laparoscopic techniques. In nerve-sparing and reconstructive surgery, this precision directly determines functional outcomes.
Faster, smoother recovery
Small incisions mean less pain, less blood loss, lower infection risk, and a dramatically shorter path back to normal life. Most patients undergoing robotic surgery with Mr Sri are home within 24–48 hours and back to daily activities within two to three weeks.
Volume and experience
Robotic surgery outcomes are strongly correlated with surgeon volume. Mr Sri performs over 200 robotic procedures annually and leads the training of the next generation through an RCS-accredited fellowship at St George's University Hospital.

Prostate enlargement surgery (BPH)

Full range · Ejaculatory-preserving options available
01
Rezum Water Vapour Therapy
Day case · local
Steam delivered in 9-second pulses shrinks prostate tissue over weeks. Ejaculatory-preserving. Prostates 30–80ml. Symptom relief in 2–4 weeks. 5-year re-treatment rate ~4.4%.

02
Aquablation
Overnight · general
Robotically guided high-pressure waterjet removes prostate tissue with real-time ultrasound precision. Low ejaculatory risk. Suited for prostates 60–150ml. Symptom improvement 85–95%.

03
Greenlight PVP Laser
Day case · general
Green laser vaporises prostate tissue with minimal bleeding. Preferred for men on anticoagulants. Symptom improvement 70–90%. Re-treatment ~10% at 5 years.

04
TURP
Overnight · general
Long-established gold standard. Heated wire loop removes prostate tissue in chips. Symptom improvement 70–90%. The benchmark all newer treatments are measured against.

05
HoLEP
Overnight · general
Holmium laser enucleates the entire inner prostate. Highest symptom improvement (90–95%) and lowest re-treatment rate of all BPH procedures. Best for prostates >80ml.

Collaborative network: Many urological conditions require multidisciplinary expertise. Mr Sri works closely with leading oncologists, radiologists, nephrologists, and subspecialty surgical colleagues across London's major private hospitals — ensuring that every aspect of a patient's care, from diagnosis to recovery, is managed with expert-led precision. He also mentors specialist colleagues delivering robotic functional and female urology, including robotic incontinence surgery.

Diagnostic & general urological procedures

Outpatient · Day case · All settings
Flexible Cystoscopy
Camera inspection of the bladder and urethra under local anaesthetic. Performed for haematuria, recurrent UTIs, LUTS, and prior to surgical procedures.
BAUS leaflet →
Transperineal Prostate Biopsy
MRI-targeted biopsy through the perineal skin — the NICE-recommended approach. Lower infection risk than transrectal biopsy. Local or general anaesthetic.
BAUS leaflet →
TURBT (Bladder Tumour Resection)
Endoscopic removal of bladder tumours — both diagnostic and therapeutic. Essential staging procedure for bladder cancer management. Day case under general anaesthetic.
BAUS leaflet →
Urodynamics
Physiological assessment of bladder and sphincter function — essential before surgical treatment for incontinence or where the underlying cause of LUTS is uncertain.
BAUS leaflet →
Ureteric Stent Insertion
Endoscopic placement of a soft internal tube to bypass obstruction and restore kidney drainage. Used as a temporary or bridging measure prior to definitive reconstruction.
BAUS leaflet →
Botox for Overactive Bladder
Cystoscopic injection of botulinum toxin into the bladder wall — an effective day-case treatment for urgency incontinence resistant to medication.
BAUS leaflet →
Vasectomy
Minimally invasive permanent male contraception under local/general anaesthetic. Semen analysis at 12–16 weeks confirms success. Lab fee charged separately for self-pay patients.
Vasectomy page →
Circumcision, Frenuloplasty & Preputioplasty
